  • Made from handspun natural cotton with a sashiko pattern
  • Proudly worn by Japanese firemen to represent their operating city

A rare authentic Japanese firemen jacket, used by a fireman Ogawa city, (小川市) Saitama. Handmade from unique sashiko handspun cotton and handprinted in the 1980's. With a beautiful crest on the back, representing the city they operated in. Comes in great used condition with a little natural color fading and almost no scratches and pulls.

This jacket is still very wearable but can also be used as decoration! Due to the vulnerability and age of the fabric, I recommend hand wash.

Size: Pit to pit = 67cm (26"), Length: 73cm (29")

Care instruction

We made sure that all fabrics are cleaned by hand and do not contain any bad or old smells. Some colours have naturally faded due to age and exposure of the sun. Our fabrics do not contain mould or dust.

Due to the age of this fabric, it is not recommended using a washing machine since the stitches could come loose. In case it is necessary to wash this fabric, we recommend a warm or cold hand-wash with little detergent.
